The course covers human emotional behavior.
Scientists have categorized emotions and emotional-related behavior into 6 basic groups or families of primary emotions:
1) Anger
2) Disgust
3) Fear
4) Happiness (positive)
5) Sadness (negative)
6) Surprise
There are secondary and derivative feelings that are laden with emotional motivation and elements that fit within one of the prime 6 families or are commonly referred to as emotions although they are derivative and are more descriptive of character traits or motivations. These would include anxiety, betrayal, contempt, envy, frustration, gratitude, guilt, humility, jealously, joy, kindness, or longing.
